A Grand Hall will be an integral part of the museum building, as well as a glass elevator which will rise six-stories, providing visitors with breathtaking views of the Tennessee countryside.

Douglas Cardinal Architect has emphasized functional creativity and an imaginative use of the environment in the design for Discovery Park of America, and is committed to utilize energy-conservation measures.  Rich vegetation and the vital role of water in the region have been incorporated both into the design and the actual functioning of the building.  The idea of connectedness will be vital in the realization of this museum, providing an outlook to the future while being firmly anchored in the past.
